Design & Craftsmanship

Reverse – Features the figure of Britannia standing with a trident in one hand and an olive branch in the other, a shield bearing the Union Jack at her side. The rim inscription includes “BRITANNIA”, the year “2025”, and the weight and purity markings.

Obverse – Displays the effigy of King Charles III, surrounded by inscriptions including the issuing country (UNITED KINGDOM), the face value (50 pence), and the year “2025”. The first‑generation bust of King Charles III has been used for British coinage from 2023 onwards.
